I have been admiring Adore Home Magazine for many years now and always get excited for the next beautiful issue. Well some exciting news for fans. The Adore book is coming! Adore is a beautiful hardcover coffee table book filled with colourful interiors and is the creation of Adore Home Magazine editor Loni Parker. The book is divided into 10 chapters according to room type, with plenty of inspiration and eye candy to get your inner designer adorning. Adore breaks down why a room works and offers styling tips and colour theory facts you can file away for future DIY projects. There's even a chapter on creative walls and entertaining to help you get the most out of your space. At the end of each chapter, a panel of homeowners and interior designers share their helpful hints and words of wisdom on a whole gamut of decorating topics. Thanks for the sneak peek Loni.

Swine & Co

Happy as a Pig in Mud at Swine & Co, Sydney.
Well I am a little taken with Swine & Co. As the name suggests, with signature suckling pig and slow roasted cuts leading the menu, Swine & Co pays homage to the pig. A passion for cooking with simple honest ingredients, Head Chef Bobby Taylor now resides at 16 O'Connell Street Sydney in the former Bank of NSW. This divine art deco building has been lovingly restored and redefined as a stylish Sydney dining destination. I loved this place and the interiors detail from the first moment I walked in to the upstairs bar and deli, with even more decor delights downstairs in the very chic dining room. With a glass of bubbles on arrival, heirloom tomato salad (with tomato essence!), signature suckling pig and the most divine ricotta and sage gnocchi that I have tasted, I was as happy as a pig in mud. With smart black tiles, clean marble finishes and mirrored detailing, Swine & Co is a beautiful, sophisticated dining space that remains relaxed but so very NYC basement chic. This is a one stop shop too. If you only have a minute, then grab a coffee and a bite to go from the upstairs deli, but if you have the time I suggest blocking a few hours out and heading downstairs to indulge in a long lunch or dinner with friends. Either way you will love it! And as the front bar kindly reminds you on the way in 'there is always time for one'….

Kinfolk Dinner Series Sydney - Glenmore House, Campden 2013
As we plan the next special Kinfolk Dinner in Avalon for May 17, I am reminded of the beautiful evening we had at Glenmore House late last year. Here is a few of my pics from the magical evening hosted by Luisa Brimble and friends. Plenty of gorgeous shots can be found on Jonathan Wherret's page too. So from Country to Coast we celebrate the next Kinfolk Sydney dinner by the sea in Avalon on May 17 and it is such a honour to be hosting it. Cannot wait.

Glenmore House is a charming country garden on the very edge of Sydney
Glenmore House is a divine property in the foothills of Razorback Range near Camden on the very edge of Sydney. The original farmhouse, dairy, hay shed, barn and other outbuildings have been lovingly restored by Larry and Mickey Robertson to create an absolute country haven and charming working garden. Mickey once a professional interior designer and now passionate gardener, hosts a number of seasonal cooking days, kitchen gardening days and special events at Glenmore House. I was lucky enough to be involved in setting up the Kinfolk Sydney dinner late last year and it was a magical evening. These are some of my favourite shots of the Glenmore House property and some fun setting up for the day. The end result of our long table dinner can be seen in the next post….. in the meantime please do take a look at Mickey's gorgeous website and special event calendar. It is definitely worth a trip!
