Sydney's Villages in your Pocket.
From the gourmet deli's to laneway bars, home grown artisan markets and internationally celebrated cultural institutions, Sydney has the world at it's fingertips, and now you can fit it in the palm of your hand. 'The Little Book of Sydney Villages' is a new guide launched by the City of Sydney showcasing the food, shopping and experiences on offer in the city. A subject matter close to my own heart.

I love to write about Sydney's villages and have been doing so for many years on eat read love. From the Devonshire Street trifecta, the cafes on Bourke Street, Koskela and the ever expanding foodie scene in Alexandria, Potts Point and Surry Hills. And further south we have the Ramsgate Foodie markets and my local Cronulla dining scene just gets better and better. I love them all, each and every 'little village' offering something unique, bringing together communities all over Sydney.

'The Little Book of Sydney Villages' was launched by Lord Mayor at one of my all time Sydney favourite hangouts Koskela. I loved listening to Sasha Titchkosky of Koskela talk about 'opening a big old warehouse and taking a gamble on the emerging Sydney area of Rosebery', which is now a bustling village. The gamble paid off.

The brand new Archie Rose Distillery next door to Koskela is amazing, and sure to be another local favourite. Archie Rose opening last week, is set to be the first independent distilling company to serve the city of Sydney since 1853. Another stunning warehouse conversion indeed!

I am so proud to live in my City of Sydney and it is always such a pleasure finding and sharing my favourite eat, read loves from around the Villages of Sydney and beyond with you all. Keep your eyes out for this cute little pocket booklet too.
